Same Mission. New Name.

The Board of Directors for The Lydia Project decided  to change its name to Cancer Support Services. The decision to rebrand was made following two years of board discussions after internal research indicated the organization’s ambiguous name made it difficult to promote awareness among new patients.

The new name more accurately mirrors the population served and reflects the broad array of comfort and assistance the organization provides to individuals fighting all types of cancer.

During the pandemic, the agency never closed and became a place to go for men, women, and young cancer fighters. The former name, with its feminine purse logo, no longer represents the agency’s outreach.

As part of that change, "The Lydia Project" becomes a sub-brand of Cancer Support Services.  Cancer fighters will still be able to request The Lydia Project’s tote ministry services online at the CSS website.  The Daksha Chudgar Lydia House lodging center will also become a sub-brand of Cancer Support Services.

We hope the Cancer Support Services brand serves as a more easily recognizable beacon for those seeking prayers and a helping hand during their personal battles with cancer – in all its forms.  Our mission, philosophy, and spirit has not changed.  We remain committed to bringing financial, emotional, and prayerful support and hope to anyone impacted by cancer.

We are all part of something greater than ourselves.
